যা তথ্য পেলামঃ In the 2026 HSC examinations, a total of 297,621 candidates appeared under the Dhaka Education Board. Out of these candidates, 16,714 students achieved a perfect GPA-5.

The performance percentages of all examinees:

• Total Pass Rate: 61.80% (183,930 students total)

• Total Fail Rate: 38.20% (113,691 students)

• Passed (Non-GPA 5): 56.18% (167,216 students)

• Passed with GPA-5: 5.62% (16,714 students)

In Bangladesh's education history, the old numerical marking system evaluated students using First Division (60% to 100% marks), Second Division (45% to 59.9% marks), and Third Division (33% to 44.9% marks).

To bridge this old system with the current modern GPA (Letter Grade) system used in the 2026 HSC exam, the Ministry of Education uses an official equivalence framework

• First Division Equivalent: Any student achieving GPA 4.00 to 5.00.
• Second Division Equivalent: Any student achieving GPA 3.00 to 3.99.
• Third Division Equivalent: Any student achieving GPA 1.00 to 2.99.

• Science Stream: Achieved a dominant 81.87% pass rate, meaning the vast majority of science students landed in the A+ to D brackets.
• Business Studies Stream: Registered a 60.06% pass rate.
• Humanities Stream: Faced the steepest curve, topping out at a 48.22% pass rate
